A unique space that allows visitors to
discover pieces from thecollection
from a close and specialised perspective.
The visitable storage facility offers a guided experience that brings the public closer to anthropological objects that are not part of the normal exhibition route, showcasing the technical processes that make the management and conservation of our collection possible.
This space was created as a meeting point between care for our pieces and dissemination. It brings together a number of objects selected for their materials, type, or origin — presented from a perspective that differs from the general expository discourse. In this way, emphasis is placed on the formal characteristics of the pieces, their context, and their heritage value.
The visit is conducted in small groups and always accompanied by Museum staff, guaranteeing both the proper conservation of the pieces and a detailed explanation of the work behind documenting pieces, cataloguing pieces, restoring pieces, the preventive conservation of pieces, and loan preparation.
The visitable storage content will be updated periodically, adding in new selections from the collection and offering a changing experience that invites visitors to delve deeper into heritage from a closer, more technical, and specialised perspective.
