Hold your event in a setting steeped in history

The Basque Museum is a place where heritage and society come together in one space. Beyond its use as an exhibition hall, the museum provides public and private entities with a number of spaces for holding events in a prime location in Bilbao’s Old Town.

The combination of its architecture and versatility allows it to host activities such as meetings, presentations, award ceremonies, and cultural and gastronomic experiences in unique spaces adapted to different formats and needs.

    Misericordia

Misericordia is the space that marks the starting point of the museum’s exhibition route. It houses some of the pieces in the collection and embodies the museum’s Aretz Bizia philosophy (the museum is like a “living oak”), which in turn structures the exhibition narrative. Unlike traditional exhibition halls, it offers a more intimate experience, encouraging detailed observation and a personal connection with the works.
