Kaiku (recipient to make curd)

A container carved out of a single-piece of wood, oblique in shape, with a double handle extending above the rim. Used by Basque shepherds for milking, as well as for transporting and heating milk. This utensil fell into disuse when it was replaced by industrially manufactured containers. From Zeanuri (Bizkaia).
