Pitcher

Pitcher

A jug with a subtle white finish achieved through tin-glazing and double firing. It has a flat base and an ovoid body, with a straight neck, a tall spout and a raised handle. It comes from the Beitzi farmhouse (Mendata, Bizkaia). Used to store, preserve and carry water from public fountains before homes were connected to the water mains.
